Umbrellas as a Public Relations Tool
In the Grandmother's Choice BOW this past Saturday, we learned that parasols were used by women due to their delicate nature back in the day. Our enterprising foremothers turned them into billboards for soliciting votes for women - clever of them! So of course, this week's block is a parasol.
It was quite the challenge for me because I am not very experienced at applique. I must say I quite like what I came up with:
